Roots Crisps are Hand Cooked Vegetable Crisps with a pinch of Sea Salt and they taste amazing. In fact, Carrots, Parsnips and Beetroot have never tasted so good!
Here’s what we had to say on our radio show
Roots Crisps are part of the Huntapac branding. Over the past 70 years, Huntapac has gone on to become one of the UK’s leading growers of carrots and parsnips, supplying retailers and markets across the UK.
They grow roughly 1800 acres of root crops a year, 1450 acres of that is carrots and 350 acres of parsnips. That’s a lot of vegetables!
It’s clear that Huntapac are proud of their heritage and certainly seem really keen to tell consumers how and where their food is produced.
The carrots, parsnips and beetroot are thinly sliced and cooked by hand in pure sunflower oil for a super-crunchy texture, before being lightly seasoned with sea salt.
Roots Crisps, the tasty alternative
Roots Vegetable Crisps are an alternative to other crisps and have been approved by the Vegetarian and Vegan Society. They are natural and contain NO artificial colourings, flavourings, preservatives or other additives. Seed, Root, Frying Pan, Bag and then mouth!
Are Roots Crisps Healthy?
It would be wrong if we didn’t point out that crisps are crisps. That means, even if they are made with vegetables, they still contain fat (14.2g per 40g bag). Each bag works out around 200 calories – healthier than some brands. They do contain a good source of fibre.
